Hi everyone,
Thanks for sharing your feedback on the Data / Resource Sharing initiative at the November 4th FORUM large group meeting.
As Paul and I outlined at the meeting, our objective is share data and resources that would be of interest to all FORUM members, and to pool our efforts in building a library of resources that none of us would be able to build independently.
To date, we have commitments for the following:
Naming gifts tracker (Wisconsin)
Due diligence research checklist (Wisconsin)
Research best practices (Michigan/pending)
US mega gifts – $25M+ giving (Michigan/pending)
Canadian mega gifts – $5M+ giving (Toronto)
Please feel free to respond to this post with any additional items you're willing to share.
We also have some key questions we posed at the meeting that we're hoping to get your feedback on:
What are the things that you’d love to know? In other words, what should we prioritize for collection?
How should we be sharing the resources, and what platform/vehicle should we use?
Do we want to share potentially sensitive data, and if so, how would we do that? Would it live at one institution securely and others can access it?
Who should we be asking for contributions? Everyone at FORUM, and external data providers?
Thanks in advance for your comments and suggestions. Paul and I will likely be reaching out to many of you directly over the months to come, for further follow-up.
Best,
John
